My pumpkin plant is homosexual.

It's true! There are supposed to be male flowers and female flowers, but all this plant has is males. Tons of them, in flamboyant orange. Not that there's anything wrong with that, except that it means NO PUMPKINS!
Well, maybe this week I'll go buy a store-bought pumpkin, and save some of the seeds for the back yard. We'll see what happens.

we used to take a youth group trip to a local farm, do a hay-ride out to the pumpkin patch where they could pick one if they wanted to (the basic trip was only a couple bucks, but they separately had to pay for their own pumpkin if they picked one). Simple, cheap, an excuse to have a casual get-together that didn't take much time or planning. I wish we still had a youth group.

Are store-bought pumpkins is like adoption?

Well it is still a beatiful plant even if it can't produce pumpkins. The fact that you researched and found out this information about pumpkin plants is a little scarey to me...
